Production Starts in November!

Dear Backers, 

We have some good news, production will start in November! Founder, Ronnie Madra, and our Design Officer, Peter Ragonetti, visited Tessy Plastics this week to make the final changes and approvals of EAROS ONE.  

With being just about ready, the rest of October will be dedicated to making the final adjustments to the mold and polishing off minor fitting issues.  

Enjoy some footage of the two of them visiting the site, as well as, some photos taken through Peter’s phone. Tessy is one of the best manufacturers in the USA and we were not going to cut any corners with the EAROS ONE. We cannot thank the backers enough for their continued support and patience. 

We are just as excited to get this product to you and can't wait to improve your listening experience.

Pre-Production has Started!

Dear Backers:

Next week Ronnie and Peter will be travelling to our upstate manufacturing facility where they will start doing the last sample pre-production runs. On Tuesday, they will be doing the Quality Control check, review, and approval for production to start. Once approved this means that the EAROS ONE will begin shipping from our PA Warehouse. We will send a full update from the manufacturing facility along with some cool behind the scenes footage next week as well.

EAROS takes on the WATKINS GLEN INTERNATIONAL

Dear Backers,

We would like to provide you with a small update this week. Our Chief Product Design Officer, Peter Ragonetti, took EAROS ONE for a test run. We found that just by warming up the race car, we clocked an average of 101 dB in the surrounding environment. We definitely recommend that you wear them at any racetrack that you may be attending.

We would also like to give all backers a weekly update from here on end as we are getting closer and the path has gotten clearer for our goals. Your feedback and encouragement doesn't go unnoticed, we greatly appreciate your patience and support. This being our first Kickstarter, we have had many difficult learning curves along the way and from this experience we are getting you the best product on the market. Inches Away from Delivery, Our NRR is Official!

Dear Backers,

We have a lot of wheels turning right now so we wanted to get you the most accurate information as possible!

We are pleased and excited to announce that we have received out NRR (Noise Reduction Rating). This rating is in accordance with the Occupational Safety & Health Association (OSHA) which is a sector within the U.S. Department of Labor. We’ve received a rating of 17dB which is a huge achievement when compared to similar products. This means that users will experience between 22-25 dB of protection on average.

For those backers that have purchased our Red Carpet Package during the KS campaign, get ready because it is almost PARTY TIME! Our Founder Ronnie Madra is working on the EAROS ONE release party in New York where you will be able to test your EAROS ONE in one of the most world-renown clubs in the world, 1OAK.

Our T-shirts have been received and will be shipping soon.

We are inches away from approving the final product but need to make one more adjustment to the mold. While running through the production cycle we were consistently getting de-lamination of the rubber outer body. This is a common issue when it comes to molding and product production. To solve this, it will take no more than 2 weeks to make these minor changes to the mold. At that time we expect full production to be up and running!

We cannot thank our backers enough for their support! We are nearing the finish line and the results are looking absolutely fantastic!

Fine Tuning EAROS ONE

Dear Backers,

Here is an update on your EAROS ONE, we are one step closer to completion and are excited to be sharing this news with you. We’ve sent 15 units for the NRR testing and will be receiving the results within a week from now. The NRR testing, for those who do not know is an official noise reduction rating that all hearing protection units must go through and must be in accordance with the American National Standard as well as the Occupation Safety and Health Standard.

We’ve began to assemble some of the EAROS ONE’s components and are fine tuning other components that have proven to be more challenging. One of the issues that we are having is in regards to our processing window which greatly affects the outcome of our components. If you see below, we have two pictures. The first is the left component and, the other, the right. As you can see, our molds are off by +/-0.0020” of an inch which may not seem like a big deal but can greatly reduce the effectiveness of our product. We will be adjusting our molds to solve this issue but it shouldn’t be a huge problem. 

Another photo that we can show you are the edges of your EAROS ONE. Some of the units produce tend to be a bit more rugged than others. As you can see the comparisons between the products you will notice a slight bulge on one of the images. This is also an issue that we are currently fixing so that all EAROS ONEs will be consistent. This is a crucial part as comfort is EVERYTHING!

These are the small but very important issues that we have been running into lately with production and hope to resolve this by the end of next week. We can then begin mass production and shipping. We are expecting that our estimated shipping date will be September. We hope we’ve further clarified the issues that we’ve been running into along with why it is taking longer than expected. We greatly appreciate your patience and support during this time. Believe us, it's worth the wait ;) Thank you all very much.
